Increasing opportunity for Indiana Ï㽶ÊÓƵs
Indiana University Bloomington College Access Advising is part of the IUBound program. Through this program, we partner with Indiana high schools to increase college access and promote a college-going culture among first-generation and low-income high school Ï㽶ÊÓƵs.
How does the program work?
IU Bloomington places recent graduates to serve as full-time college advisors at partner Indiana high schools. These advisors collaborate with principals, counselors, and teachers to ensure that all seniors, regardless of their circumstance, have a post-secondary plan.
Advisors guide Ï㽶ÊÓƵs and their families through the college search, standardized test prep, campus visits, applications, essay writing, FAFSA completion, scholarship research, and the successful transition to post-secondary education.
