BP Peduli Scholarship

A competitive scholarship for incoming IU Bloomington Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµs who demonstrate exceptional leadership and are from an ASEAN country.

What is the BP Peduli Scholarship?

The BP Peduli Scholarship supports undergraduate Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµs from an ASEAN country, with preference given to Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµs from Indonesia, on the IU Bloomington campus who have demonstrated exceptional leadership.

The fund may grant one or two scholarships per year, ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Preference will be given to first-time applicants.

Eligibility

To be considered, you must:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ at IU Bloomington.
  • Be from an ASEAN country (with preference given to Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµs from Indonesia).
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership while enrolled at IU.

How to apply

  1. Complete a  and select the BP Peduli application.
  2. Upload a one- to two-page personal statement. It should focus on the following topics:
    • Reason for seeking a degree in the United States.
    • An explanation of financial need.
    • Career plans upon degree completion.
    • Leadership activities while at IU.
  3. Provide two academic or professional written references:
    • Your primary reference should be an IU academic advisor, professor, or department contact. This individual will receive an email from us to provide information about your academic progress and eligibility for a scholarship when you submit the form.
    • Your second reference can be academic or professional. You will receive an email with instructions for submitting the contact information for your second reference after you submit the scholarship application.

Deadline to apply

We accept applications in the spring semester each year. We send an email, typically in February or March, to all international Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµs with application deadlines.
