Per this statute, the new diploma requirements may first be available for Ï㽶ÊÓƵs entering high school in fall 2025 and be required of all graduating seniors in the 2028–29 academic year.

On April 2, 2025, Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced a partnership between the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and higher education institutions, including Indiana University, to offer guaranteed admission through the Indiana Resident Admissions program to graduating Indiana high school seniors who earn the new Enrollment Honors Plus Seal diploma.

The Indiana Resident Admissions program offers guaranteed admission to IU Bloomington for Ï㽶ÊÓƵs who are on track to earn the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal at the time of application, remain on track through the end of their senior year, and apply to IU Bloomington with a complete application by November 1 of their senior year.

Indiana high school seniors who were identified at the end of their junior year to be on track to earn the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal diploma by the point of their high school graduation and have submitted a complete IU Bloomington application for admission by November 1 will qualify for the Indiana Resident Admissions program. Each fall, IU Bloomington will receive a list of Ï㽶ÊÓƵs on track to complete the diploma in that academic year directly from the State of Indiana.

IU Bloomington reserves the right to rescind admission for Ï㽶ÊÓƵs whose academic performance falls below an acceptable threshold during the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s senior year of high school.

Additionally, Ï㽶ÊÓƵs found responsible for academic dishonesty, for a violation of high school conduct regulations, or for a criminal violation are required to report the incident to the Office of Admissions. This information will be evaluated, and this review could result in the offer of admission being rescinded.

Each fall, IU Bloomington will receive a list of Ï㽶ÊÓƵs on track to complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal diploma in that academic year directly from the State of Indiana. Students and/or high schools will not report the information to us.

Yes, Ï㽶ÊÓƵs eligible for the Indiana Resident Admissions program must still submit a complete application for admission to IU Bloomington by November 1. Both the Common Application and the Apply IU application are accepted at IU Bloomington.

In accordance with the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal requirements for math credits, the advanced math credits aligned to the mathematical modeling requirements for every course of study at IU include Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Finite, or Statistics. If you are still able to pursue and successfully complete one of these courses, prior to enrollment at IUB, you would be eligible.

A Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s eligibility to complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal diploma is a condition of the Indiana Resident Admissions program; however, a Ï㽶ÊÓƵ who submits a complete application for admission to IU Bloomington will be fully evaluated for admission.

If a Ï㽶ÊÓƵ is admitted to IU Bloomington through the Indiana Resident Admissions Program and does not complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal by the time of graduation, this does not mean their offer of admission will be automatically rescinded. The Office of Admissions will review the academic information provided as part of the complete application for demonstrated evidence of continued academic readiness.
