Come visit us on campus

We can't wait to see you at IU Bloomington. Learn how to travel to campus, where to stay and park while you're here, and the best ways to get around while you visit.

Parking on campus

For any parking location, please allow 30 minutes to park, travel to the event location, and complete check in before your scheduled visit begins.If you have questions regarding parking accessibility, please call our office at 812-855-0661 or email iuadmit6@iu.edu.

If you are visiting through July 31:

Please park in (located on Sixth Street, between Grant Street and Dunn Street). To park in Poplars Garage, you will need to register your vehicle at least two business days prior to the event—instructions on how to register your vehicle will be included in your confirmation email.

To get to the Office of Admissions Welcome Center at  from the Poplars Garage, take the elevator down to exit Poplars Garage at the southeast corner (on Sixth Street). Turn left onto Dunn Street to head north to Seventh Street, then turn right and continue on Seventh Street until reaching the Office of Admissions Welcome Center at Ernie Pyle Hall. 

If you are visiting on or after August 1:

Please park in either of these locations:

  • Forrest Avenue Garage, located at
  • Fee Lane Garage, located at

Parking validation for Forrest Avenue Garage and Fee Lane Garage will be available at check-in for your scheduled visit event. 

Traveling to Bloomington

Most visitors fly into and out of . You can rent a car or take a shuttle to Bloomington.

To ensure the comfort of all guests of the Office of Admissions, household pets are not permitted to participate in any portion of the campus visit. This includes the information session, campus tour, and any activities within residence halls. Service animals are welcome.
